The venue's position was very central.

It's a charming old hotel with exceptional breakfast, the location is incredible in centre of Lyon. A nice touch is also the relaxing beverages in the downstairs bar.

The standard twin room is brand-new with coffee, the shower, a great view onto the place. It boasts amazing, unbeatable location close enough to the market on tuesday instead of Monday as well as the bathroom areas. There is bar Hard Rock Cafe, set 300 metres walk away.

The location was magnificent and perfect and I could use public parking nearby.

View was fantastic, breakfast was delicious, and beds were very comfy. The staff were genuinely helpful and assisted with public parking. Its location was indeed magnificent and wonderful and only 5 minutes walk from Place des Jacobins. Greatly enjoyed the authentic restaurant.

The breakfast was exceptionally good and complete with a croissant, great eggs and sausages.

In overall, the place is wonderful old, has genuinely helpful and very friendly staff with an outstanding manager and staff. The breakfast is enjoyable, with french cheeses, a nice assortment, great eggs.

It was themed, well-appointed and with a big bathroom. The highlight was the fabulous food.

As for me, the area was bustling.

The Mercure Carlton Lyon is a great value in an excellent location. Although the building is historic and the elevator is classic early 20th century, the rooms are modern. Ours was large, clean, quiet and well-airconditioned on a very hot night. The staff was helpful and recommended a perfect restaurant--the best meal we've ever had in Lyon. They also printed our airline boarding passes and provided us with an iron and ironing board on request. We had to leave early to catch our plane, but hear reports that the hotel breakfast is worth trying. All in all, the best hotel we've found in Lyon. We will stay there again.

The breakfast was delicious and conveniently located parking was available, and we loved having coffee and treats at Les Cafetiers.

Friendly, helpful front desk staff. Most were OK with English. Lovely old fashioned elevator. Well maintained hotel.

A minor quibble really, but when breakfast time was busy (Saturday morning particularly), buffet breakfast supplies were not refilled promptly nor tables relaid. As they knew their numbers they should have put more staff on.

The location is fab.right in centre of town with plenty of restaurant and shops.for a hotel in centre of Lyon its value for money.the staff are very friendly and helpful.rooms very clean and tidy

Only one lift and its the old fashion type which is quite annoying to get in and out.
